SMS Desktop Software install is used for both SMS Basic or SMS Advanced. Current SMS software is noted above and can be downloaded by clicking on the link above. If you wish to try out SMS Basic and Advanced before purchasing, each version allows you to demo the program for 21 days. The demo is fully featured outside of the AgFiniti and Advanced Modules.

To install:
- Download the SMS installer below, making sure to save the file if presented the option.
- Unzip the downloaded file.
- Open up the extracted folder and double-click on the Setup.exe application file to start the install.
- Follow the installer instructions and select SMS basic or advanced depending on which license have been purchased or wish to demo.
Note: If you have had a previously installed version, please reference Updating SMS Basic and Advanced.
Note: If you are getting an error when trying to run the setup file, your computer may have Windows S Mode enabled. This prevents you from installing any app that is not on the Microsoft Store. To disable this mode, go to Settings > System > Activation. On this page you can disable S Mode through the Microsft Store. Once disabled, try to run the setup file again.
Minimum system requirements:
The following are the minimum system requirements for SMS Basic/Advanced and SMS Mobile PC to run at an acceptable performance level:
- 64 bit system
- 1 GHz processor or higher
- Windows 10/11 or Windows Server 2012 R2 and up
- 1 GB RAM
- 4 GB Application/Data Storage Space
Recommended resolution settings will be the following when running 32 color and 100% scaling of the text sizes:
- SMS Basic: 1024 x 768*
- SMS Advanced: 1280 x 1024

- There are 2 updates a year, with the possibility of more.
- SMS v17.5 is the last version that supports Windows Vista
- SMS v21.0 is the last version that supports Windows 7
- SMS v21.5 is the last version that supports Windows 32-bit systems
- SMS v23.6 is the last version that supports Windows 8
